2026-2027 Lottery Program
The Pre-K lottery process for the 26-27 school year will be open for applications on February 16th, 2026.
It is open to all residents of York whose child will be or turn 4 on or before October 15th, 2026 and are not eligible for kindergarten.
When submitting your application you will be asked to upload the following documentation:
2 seperate, current, proofs of residency for the town of York

February 16th - March 27th, 2026 - Applications Accepted
April 6th, 2026 - Families Notified
April 6, 7, 8, 2026 - Pre-K Screening Dates for accepted students (more info to follow)
Pre-K Program Eligibility Criteria
Students must be 4 years old by October 15th and are not of kindergarten age
Complete Lottery Registration Form (required)
Form must be completed and submitted between February 16 - March 27, 2026
Families notified by April 6, 2026

How may spots will be available?
There are two Pre-K classrooms with room for 16 students each.
Will there be a wait-list?
Yes, a wait-list will be kept and families next in line will be notified in order of position on the list if a spot opens up in the program.
What will the schedule for arrival and dismissal be for the pre-K?
Students enrolled in the public pre-K will follow the Village Elementary School schedule. Students arrive between 8:30-8:44 am and are dismissed between 2:45-3:05 pm.
